# Arya was born on 11th Dec 1980 Trikarpur, Kerala, India in a Muslim Dhobi family.
# His birth name is Jamshad Cethirakath and he preferred to use Arya as his screen name.
# He attended “SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary School” in Chennai. He did his computer engineering at “Crescent Engineering College” Chennai, India.
# After completion of his education he worked as a computer engineer for some time. But his passion for film industry lead him to modeling and finally to films.
# Arya made his acting debut with “Ullam Ketkumae” in 2003 alongside Shaam, Laila and Asin. But the movie was released later.
# His second venture was “Arinthum Ariyamalum” in 2005 was released before his debut. For his performance in “Arinthum Ariyamalum” he won Filmfare Best Male Debut Award in 2005. “Ullam Ketkumae” was also a huge commercial and critical hit.
# He established his own production house “The Show People” in 2010 and its first venture was “Boss Engira Bhaskaran” starring Arya and Nayantara.
