His much famous style of tossing cigarette came from a incidence when he wanted to join gang in school, they were his seniors so they refused so he thought he would impress the guys by this trick. He used to practice this trick in bushes of the school.

Even though, his parents died in his early childhood, Rajinikanth always had a strong love for his mom and used to bother his elder brother to let him know about their past days along with vivid explanation of his mother.

He used to show his acting skills in the bus while he was a bus conductor.

His elder brother helped him a lot in his childhood. They were so poor that there was not enough food for them to fill their stomach, sometimes his brother used to sacrifice food for his younger brother Rajini.

He met his wife Latha when a group of college girls came to him for his interview, Latha was leading the group. Rajinikanth got so attracted to girl that he proposed Latha on the same day.

He likes to spend time in his garden are instead of sitting at home.
